Lynn Boggess Solo Exhibition
April 2025
“The challenge behind what Boggess does with impasto painting, is to allow the paint to have an expressive force that is inherent to thick, fluid oil paint, while insisting it achieve as much realism as possible. ‘Those two objectives are not, by nature, easily compatible…,” he says. It’s difficult. Very difficult. And that’s what has sustained my interest in it throughout the decades I have been painting. I can honestly say I have never had a boring session.” – excerpt from the article Texture Breathes Life by Chelsea Koressel, American Art Collector, Issue 234.

Washington Society of Landscape Painters
February 2025
The primary focus of the Society today is the painting outdoors en plein aire with fellow members and guest artists, enjoying their camaraderie, and critiquing each others work in a constructive way. In addition to these paint-outs, the Society also promotes the advancement of landscape painting through meetings, exhibitions, and field trips. The Society also holds at least one month-long exhibition each year. We were honored to be the exhibition space for 2025!
