Gary Weisman is cool, even when he’s pouring bronze at an incredible temperature in his Upstate New York foundry.  Born in Chicago, Gary attended the Art Institute of Chicago before moving on to teach at Philadelphia’s Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.  His process is passionate — classical figure drawing, sculpting in clay from a live model, creating molds for casting, and several times a year pouring bronze to create the final product of his labor.

Gary will be at the gallery on Friday, May 13th, 2011 from 6:30-9pm as a part of our ART NOW opening.  His charisma is contagious — an experience not to miss.
