Martin Poole graduated in 1979 with a B.F.A. in printmaking from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has since continued perfecting his skills through private study with artist Thomas S. Buechner. In addition to his own art, Poole currently teaches portrait painting workshops at the Thomas Buechner Studio in Corning, New York and courses in oils, watercolors, ceramics, and landscapes at the One Seventy One Cedar Arts Center also in Corning. Poole’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the United States including; The Rockwell Museum in New York, Kirby Art Center in New Jersey, Arnot Art Museum in New York, now here at Principle Gallery, Great American Artists in Ohio, Artists of America in Colorado, and the Wellsboro Regional Show in Pennsylvania where he won both second and third place awards. The artist has two children and currently lives in North Carolina.
