Valerio D’Ospina
Valerio D’Ospina was born in Taranto, Italy, where he earned his artistic diploma before continuing his studies in fine art in Florence and Paris—two cities long celebrated for their rich artistic heritage. He later completed a degree in painting from the prestigious Accademia di Belle Arti. Following this, he undertook advanced training in art education, preparing him for a career in academia. At the age of 27, D’Ospina moved to the United States to accept a teaching position at the University of Pennsylvania.
Now based in Philadelphia, he devotes himself fully to his painting. D’Ospina has earned widespread recognition for his bold, expressive depictions of cityscapes and industrial environments. With dynamic brushwork and striking perspective, he captures the raw energy and rhythm of the modern world. His work is held in private collections across the United States and internationally, and he continues to be celebrated by collectors, critics, and art enthusiasts alike.
