Steven S. Walker
Steven S. Walker discovered his love for art at a very early age. With little interest in anything else, Walker took the next significant step toward his pursuit of a career in art when he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He later earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from Marywood University, where he met his wife and fellow artist Evelyn Davis-Walker.
Since becoming a full-time artist in 2008, Walker has participated in numerous local and national juried competitions, including the Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional Show, where he won an Award of Excellence; the Richeson 75 Landscape Competition; the PleinAir Salon; the International Salon Competition; the Oil Painters of America Salon, where he won another Award of Excellence; the Art Renewal Center; and the Oil Painters of America National, where he received an Honorable Mention. Walker also had the privilege of being part of a statewide traveling exhibition with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
