Paula B. Holtzclaw
North Carolina-based artist Paula B. Holtzclaw has earned a national reputation for her ability to capture the drama of nature on canvas. Her light-filled paintings of pristine, undeveloped landscapes combine classical realism with impressionistic sensibilities, while her still life works reflect a deep admiration for the techniques of the Old Masters.

She holds Signature Memberships in the Oil Painters of America, the American Society of Marine Artists, the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society, and the American Impressionist Society. Additionally, she has been awarded “Out of State” Artist status with the historic California Art Club and is an invited artist member of both the Salmagundi Club of New York and the Plein Air Painters of the Southeast.
Holtzclaw frequently serves as a juror for regional and national exhibitions, contributing her expertise to both entry and awards selection. She served on the Executive Board of American Women Artists from 2012 through 2019. Through both her leadership and her paintings, Holtzclaw remains dedicated to advancing the role of women in the arts and to celebrating the enduring beauty of the natural world.
