Laura E. Pritchett
Laura E. Pritchett began working as a full-time artist at the age of sixteen, painting portraits and creating illustrations for publishers. Seven years later, she stepped away from commissions to focus intently on developing her individual voice in fine art. During this time of growth, she discovered the value of photography in her painting process, as it allowed her to quickly experiment with composition and closely study her subjects. Through the lens, she developed a deep understanding of light and motion and began publicly sharing her photographs alongside the paintings they inspired.
Pritchett has since gained international attention for her creative approach and is sought after by art directors and leading agencies to contribute her work to campaigns for brands including Coach, CNN, GAP, Toyota, GE, Downy, and Refinery29. Articles about her dual career as a painter and photographer have been published by Forbes, the Chicago Tribune, COMPLEX Art + Design, City Pictorial, VOGUE Girl, and more. She has been a finalist in the Art Renewal Center International Salon five times, including the honor of receiving two Staff Awards.
