Anna Wypych
Anna Wypych was born in 1986 in Gdańsk, Poland, and began painting as a child. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk and, during her studies, received eight national awards from the Ministry of Culture, the Marshal of Pomeranian Voivodeship, and the Mayor of Gdańsk. In 2010, Wypych won the Grand Prix in the Artistic Journey Hestia competition and, as a result, spent a month in New York City.
Wypych’s works have been exhibited throughout Poland as well as internationally, including in Turkey, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and the United States. Since completing her Master of Fine Arts degree in 2011, Wypych has continued to earn prestigious honors, including Pomeranian Artistic Hope in 2011; the Grant for Culture Creators from the Marshal of Pomeranian Voivodeship; and a Certificate of Excellence from the Palm Art Award in Germany. She is deeply inspired by the human figure, using realistic techniques to depict subjects infused with symbolism and emotion. Wypych currently lives and works in Gdynia, Poland.
